Send Me Your Story
What’s Your Story?
Come sit at my camp-fire and tell me your story.
You don’t have one? Of course you do. We all do.
Some of us have grand and important stories. All of us have stories about love, fear, big failures and small triumphs.
Since we first tamed those mercurial flames and gathered around them, we’ve been sharing the trivial and terrible things that happened during the day. These tales help us make sense of our lives. They ignite our imaginations, enrich our language, preserve our memories and bind us to each other.
We learn from them, are inspired by them and laugh because of them. They teach us to be wiser than we were yesterday. And above all, stories have the power to connect us to each other and to our shared destiny.
Big or small, happy or sad, I would love to hear your story – as long as it’s true and causes no harm.
It could be a fascinating tale from history or a silly thing that happened yesterday. Your contribution could be part of a podcast of short stories or feature as a stand-alone podcast. Perhaps you’d like to remain anonymous?
That’s absolutely fine.
So, join me at my campfire.
Write to me at patricia@storycatcher.co.za with an outline of the story you’d like to share. And we’ll work out how and when I can visit you on my travels in my truck.
